She has been a member of the Board of Professors of the PhD course in Social Psychology at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” since 2004 and has been also tutoring some candidates since then.
Since 2005 she has been tutoring some candidates of the Euro PhD in Social Representations and Communication.
Professor Sensales’ scientific activity has started from historical-theoretical interests related to the historiographical and theoretical-critical debate concerning our discipline, and to the emergence of Social Psychology in Italy.
Moreover, the study and the research have largely expanded into Social Psychology fileds, starting from the theoretical-critical perspective of the social representations. These have been studied by privileging the triangulation models of data and theories.
She has examined, in this perspective, the representations of computer-information-technology, Marxism, environment, politics, political elections, the 2005 French riots, and gender-differences on political communication both through interviews to naïve subjects and through the analysis of the mass media.
